BACKTRACK, our storage and sleeping solution for the back of the van, with or without a bench. On the T5 and T6 kombi/caravelle/multivan vans with a 2- or 3-seater sofa in the 2nd (middle) row, the bed is folded out over the folded seats. If there is 98 cm of space behind the rear seat, it also fits in other vans.
TO SLEEP the bed surface unfolds [on top of the bench seat, if there is a bench] for sleeping and then folds back again before driving away or is kept unfolded for carrying surfboards or other long items.
STORAGE we wanted to make this system really solid, so we added a full-width drawer with a load capacity of 200 kg. the drawer guides used are super sturdy and run super smoothly. the drawer section has tie-down points for you to secure your gear to, plus a very sturdy non-slip rubber mat keeps your load in place and prevents wear and tear on the panel underneath. the large drawer front makes it easy to open and close, especially when heavily loaded.
Fitment
The system is attached to the existing load eyes in the vehicle floor with bolts and/or tension straps. This means that the system can be easily installed or removed.
